yes, a rainy, chilly, first day of summer sounds like a poor one. but the benefit of cool weather is that i can keep the windows and doors open and i can water throughout the day.
my house is filled with flowers.
rosemary, thyme and lavender in small vases in the kitchen. snapdragons from the csa. bachelor's buttons and cosmos from an adorable chinese woman at the farmer's market. and an absurdly large bouquet of roses (obscuring my television!) from a friends house.
i love it. i love fresh flowers and fresh air.
