more roosters?

sometimes i think i have the worst luck.
hester and honey are roosters. so was my silky banty.

but in the category of fantastic luck, my coworker and her husband generously offered to take them off my hands! at the last minute they asked for some hens as well, so i gave them carmen's twin sister and decided to part ways with maude. i figure maude could hold her own against the roosters and she was laying.

on the hunt for more chickens. portland looks promising, maybe two more arucanas and a seabright that are all laying, as well as someone else who is selling laying hens for $5. i figured i'd take a few and maybe pass on a couple more to my coworker.

my backyard has become a revolving door of chickens.
